Account Representative


Medical Motor Service (MMS) is part of the Al Sigl community of agencies, and provides non-emergency transportation services throughout the Greater Rochester area. MMS has been operating as a not-for-profit for over 90 years, providing senior citizens and individuals with disabilities and special needs the specialized transportation they need to remain involved in their community. The Account Representative is responsible for managing trip booking details and communications for key accounts. They are to provide quality service to clients and ordering providers. This position requires collaboration with team members and community partners to solve problems and improve services. The Account Representative will exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills. This position reports to management in the Operations Department.   


  • Serve as MMS liaison to Monroe County Medicaid transportation broker and program staff; responsible for all aspects of program management including: add/deleting client files, following up on customer complaints or concerns, and managing the day to day operation for program
  • Verify consumer Medicaid eligibility to confirm services are covered
  • Ensure prior authorizations for travel are accurate and match consumer need
  • Advise senior management on program contracts and program development issues
  • Other duties as assigned


Promising candidates will have experience working in a fast paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to quickly shift attention from various tasks. Professional experience working with the population served and an understanding of coordinating services and working with Medicaid is helpful, but not required. Key skills will include but are not limited to:

  • Customer service oriented, follows up on customer concerns in a timely manner
  • High attention to detail, accurate data entry and record keeping skills
  • Takes responsibility; follows through on commitments and is willing to accept additional assignments and learn about other aspects of the organization
  • Inherently organized and an effective decision maker; able to synthesize information and make timely, high quality decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to accept feedback in a positive and constructive manner
  • Able to prioritize a workload of multiple aspects and manage numerous responsibilities simultaneously


  • Proficient in basic computer operations; including Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience with Medicaid a plus

Safety Assistant


Assists the Operations Supervisor in the management of the driver safety program ensuring that all drivers at MMS are providing safe, reliable transportation to clients in accordance to DOT and DMV regulations.  


  • Responsible for the management of the NYS DMV driver safety program

  • Responsible for accident and incident investigations

  • Oversee mobility and site assessments

  • Execute training and re-training of drivers, including rules of the road, road skills, equipment usage, and other pertinent topics

  • Ensure accurate compliance tracking

  • Ensure accurate record keeping

  • Interact daily with other office staff, drivers


  1. Education: Associate Degree or higher

  2. Experience:  Minimum 3 years transportation experience

  3. License/Certification Required: CDL Drivers License, Class C or B with a passenger endorsement, 19A certified.

  4. Skills: 

    - Must be able to balance multiple priorities and accomplish objectives within time constraints.

    - Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.

    - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

    - Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, strong follow through and the ability to communicate positively with a diverse workforce and client base.

    - Proficient in computer applications.

Call Taker

JOB TYPE: Full Time or Part Time, Monday - Friday


Respond to incoming calls for a large transportation provider.  Duties may include expediting, explaining policies and procedures, and scheduling transportation for qualified individuals to appointments and programs.


• Navigate custom scheduling computer programs that include data retrieval and data entry
• Record and disseminate complete, accurate information for the individual and the service being provided
• Prioritize administrative duties with incoming telephone calls always taking precedence
• Determine and schedule appropriate mode of transportation (i.e. auto, wheelchair van, stretcher van, etc.
• Verify the individual's eligibility for service
• Other duties as assigned



• Effective phone communication with excellent customer service skills
• Must be familiar with streets and roadways in Rochester and surrounding areas within Monroe County
• Personal computer and Microsoft Office experience
• Bilingual or experience in medical field is a plus


• High school diploma or equivalent


JOB TYPE: Full Time


Medical Motor Service is looking for an energetic individual who thrives in a fast paced environment, and can multi-task while working calmly under pressure.


  • Ensure efficient and timely completion of trip assignments, assigning drivers as operational needs required and updating information in Routematch
  • Re-assign drivers, as necessary, to cover changes in schedules and updating that information in the Routematch system and notifying appropriate managers/scheduling staff
  • Monitoring driver activity for cancellations and availability for trips
  • Answer messages regarding driver call in and relay that information to relevant staff members
  • On off hours and weekends take calls from passengers and assign trip appropriately
  • Handle driver requests for emergency assistance
  • Complete paperwork accurately as assigned
  • Filling in as a driver and safely transporting clients to and from programs and appointments


  1. Education: High School Diploma preferred
  2. Experience: At least two years of consistent dispatching experience for Monroe County and one year transporting passengers preferred
  3. License/Certification: ability to obtain a CDL Driver’s License, Class C or B with a passenger endorsement
  4. Knowledge of the Rochester are


  • Ability to interact with passengers, co-workers, and clients in an appropriate and courteous manner
  • Computer skills and accuracy
  • Able to communicate concisely and make sound decisions
  • Ability to read maps and determine the best route to a destination
  • Ability to operate and communicate over a send-receive radio

Driver - Part Time

(We are specifically looking for drivers that can work Saturdays)
